Obituary of Jean M. Farnese

Jean M. Farnese, age 88 of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on November 14, 2019 at Rose Court at Maris Grove. Born to Francis and Ida Sonsini Gilbert in Philadelphia, PA, she has resided the past 7 years in Glen Mills, PA, previously residing in Springfield, PA. Jean worked as a title clerk for many auto dealers in the Delaware County area and later as a medical secretary at a several doctor's offices in the area. Jean was a member of the Italian American Club, she also served as the Junior Committee Woman for the Springfield Republican Party, and on the board for the South Philadelphia High School Alumni Association. She was known affectionately by her grandchildren as 'Grandmom's Great'. Jean is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Benito "Reds" Farnese who passed in 2015. She is survived by her children, Bonnie J. Hughes, Bruce (Holly) Farnese, Beth (Stephen) McMahon, grandchildren, Farrah, Brooke, Erik, Eden (Brad), and Joseph, and great grandchildren, Scarlett and Violet. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th, 10-11AM at the Maris Grove Chapel, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA followed by a Memorial Service at 11AM. Interment will remain private.
