Obituary of Marie C Wahl

Marie C. Wahl, 83 of Brigantine, NJ died on June 9, 2016 at Forwood Manor, Wilmington, DE. Born to the late Harry and Catherine Henderson O'Neill, she was raised in Philadelphia and Drexel Hill. Marie graduated from Notre Dame High School, Moylan, PA class of 1950, and resided for the past 17 years in Brigantine, NJ, previously residing in Collingswood, NJ. She was a comptometer operator working for the Philadelphia Inquire for over 20 years retiring in 1994. She also worked as a receptionist for Ethan Allen furniture store. Marie was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church where she was very active in the Bible study group. She enjoyed volunteering for the Meals on Wheels and was always a willing giver to help anyone in need. In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her son, John Wahl Jr. who died in 2011. She is survived by her 2 siblings, Harry Sr. (Joan) O'Neill and Catherine (John) Callahan, 3 grandchildren, John III (Kim) Wahl, Madeline and Abigail Wahl, 2 great grandchildren, Jackson Wahl and Nicolette Rush. Relative and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 11:00AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 331 8th Street, Brigantine, NJ where friends may call from 10-11AM. Interment is private at Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. Donations in her memory may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters at www.bbbs.org
