Obituary of Minnie Bernice Cucura

Minnie Bernice Cucura, age 74 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on January 7, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Robert H. and Virginia Flores Ryan in Big Stone Gap, VA, she resided the past 7 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Berks County and La Plata, MD. Bernice earned her Bachlors degree from East Tennessee State University and was a school teacher at Prince George's County Maryland School District for 25 years until retiring in 2003. She was an active member of the Belmont Clubhouse Committee. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, as well as bird watching, reading, and traveling around the world. In addition to her parents, Bernice is preceded in death by 6 siblings; Ervin Kenneth Ryan, Kyle Arthur Ryan, Robert Daniel Ryan, Barbara Ann Ryan Bays, Beulah Mae Ryan Vaughn, and Edward Wayne Ryan. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William W. Cucura, daughter, Mary Beth (Michael) Spina, brother, James Emory Ryan, and 2 grandchildren, Trevor and Julia Spina. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 1:00PM at the Belmont Clubhouse, Garnet Valley, PA
