Obituary of Ira W. Wilkerson

Ira W. Wilkerson, age 84, of Folsom, PA passed peacefully on May 24, 2020. Raised in Chester, PA, he resided in Folsom over 50 years. Ira was the son of the late Ira C. and Elsie Gladys Smithhurst Wilkerson. He was a Air Force veteran during the Korean War. Ira worked in the office at Sun Shipbuilding and Dock Company in Chester for many years. He was a member of Ridley Park United Methodist Church where he once served as a trustee. Ira was a fan of football and enjoyed watching games. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Anna Longo who died in 2006. Ira is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce M. Wilkerson; a grandson, Erick Gardner and a brother, Richard Wilkerson. Graveside services will be held privately on Monday, June 1st at S.S.
