Obituary of Mark A. Vickers

Mark Anthony Vickers, age 57, of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on June 16, 2020 after fighting a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Mark grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ and was the loving son of Thomas and Jean Vickers. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas (Donna) Vickers III, Susan Colella and Jeanine (Ray) DiPretoro; eight nephews, Jim, Joe, Thomas, John and Michael Colella; Thomas Vickers; Raymond and Michael DiPretoro; one niece, Lauren Vickers; two great nephews, four great nieces; and his uncle, Robert (April) Hagendorf. He was preceded in death by his uncle Reverend Thomas Hagendorf, O Praem.

Mark worked as a bartender and spent the last 26 years at the Philadelphia Marriott Convention Center. He loved the beach at 36th Avenue in Longport, Cancun, the Fairmount Mews, building and repairing things, landscaping, cars, his famous Mark's Margs (Margaritas) and most of all his family.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Glen Mills, PA on Monday, June 22, 2020 from 9:00–10:30AM with mass immediately following. Interment will be held privately.
