Mary Kathryn posted a condolence

I just stumbled across Joyce’s obituary today, not knowing she had passed away. Joyce had such a bright and beautiful personality and presence. She perfectly complimented Joe, in every way. I’ll never forget Joyce always turning down the heat in the store, then Joe grumbling how freezing it was then he’d turn it back up without her knowing. This dance would go on all day. She loved her store and the community she served, especially her work with the veteran’s day parade. I worked at Doubet Jewelers for a few years in college, the Doubet family, in a way, helped me get my first taste of what real class looked like. The Doubet’s were classy, professional, always friendly and down-to-earth. They were like family to me. Joe, Karl, Joyce, Cindy and Dick. Great times were had there, and many memories made! Joyce was always interested in asking how I was, and when I would visit the store years later, she wanted to know about my kids and how I was enjoying being married to a military man. I’ll miss her smile and wits. I’m most saddened that I wasn’t able to stop by the store the last time I was in media. She will truly be missed and remembered by many that knew her.
Love,
Mary (Kadash) Dolan

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of my Aunt Joyce. As part of the extended Doubet family, growing up there was always Uncle Joe, smiling, and Aunt Joyce by his side. My heartfelt prayers to Uncle Joe, the girls and their families. Sincerely, Betty (Finch) Boyle, daughter of the late Jim and Vera (Doubet) Finch.

We are completely shocked by the passing of Joyce. Rich and Joyce were classmates at Ridley Twp. High School and stayed friends through the years. The times we shared together were always filled with fun and laughter. Joyce will be deeply missed. She will be in our prayers, as well as her family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Joyce’s passing. She was the mainstay of her beloved husband and girls, was a kind and thoughtful person, who will be remembered fondly by all. Rest well, Joyce. You and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Nancy
I worked with Joe and Joyce for 25-plus years. Her boundless energy and natural compassion was envied by all who knew her well. I will remember her as one of the most caring people I have ever met. Dick

I was so shocked to hear of Joyce' s passing. I had first met Joyce when I worked for an advertising company and she placed her ad with me. This involved a friendship. When I was visiting Media,I would always come into Doubet's and visit with her .She will deeply be missed. She was a terrific lady and never had an unkind word. Rest in peace, Joyce, you will never be forgotten.
