Obituary of Herbert Arthur Runde

Herbert Arthur Runde, age 90, passed away on November 2, 2020 at his home in Glen Mills, PA. He was born in Flora Park, NY to Herbert G. Runde and Helen Purcell Runde. His school years were spent in Stratford, CT and he later resided in Manchester, CT. After serving in the U.S. Army signal corps, he graduated from the University of Connecticut school of engineering. He was employed at Electric Boat in Groton before moving to Windsor Locks, CT and worked at Kaman Aircraft for 7 years and then at Combustion Engineering/ABB for 28 years in the nuclear division. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed building boat and plane models.

He leaves his wife of 63 years, Margaret (Peggy) Runde; a daughter Diana Wisner and husband Scott of Wilmington, DE; a grandson, Neil Wisner and wife Jill of Newark, DE; and a granddaughter, Lisa Wisner of Narita, Japan.
