Obituary of Maryann P. Markano

Maryann P. Markano, age 89, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on December 15, 2020 at Rose Court in Maris Grove. Maryann was born in Jamaica, NY and raised in Long Island, NY. She resided in the Maris Grove Community for the past 4 years and was previously a longtime resident of N. Wilmington, DE. A graduate of the College of St. Elizabeth, she began her career as a teacher and later became a stay at home mom. In addition to her parents, Joseph J. and Mary Theresa Magee Parr, Maryann is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Andrew J. Markano who passed in 2008 and her daughter in law, Robin. She is survived by her children, Susan Tjon and her husband, David of Austin, TX, Andrew of Frankford, DE, Michael of West Chester, PA, Maryann Cole and her husband Gary of Kennett Square, PA and James and his wife, Pamela of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
