Obituary of Maryann Kloepfer
Maryann Kloepfer, age 63, of Upland, PA passed away on December 13, 2020 at home. Born Maryann Jacobs to loving parents, she was a life-long resident of Upland. After graduating from Collingdale High School, class of 1975, Maryann married her high school sweetheart Karl Kloepfer in 1976. She worked many jobs over the years mostly as a cashier, retiring from her longest cashier position at Acme Market in Granite Run. Her devotion to her faith was an integral part of her life. She was a long time active member of Garden City Chapel in Wallingford, PA, bringing her children with her to all the services that she could. Ultimately, she achieved her goal of passing on her love for Jesus to her children. More recently, for 10 or more years, she was a member of North Chester Baptist Church. Animals, especially cats and dogs, brought her great joy throughout her life. Crocheting, sewing, playing the piano, solitaire, and her scratch off lottery games were also hobbies she loved. Family vacations to Wildwood in New Jersey and trips to Long Beach Island to see Barnegat Light were some of her favorite times. Maryann was devoted to her husband, her children, and her pets. She will be greatly missed by her family. In addition to her parents, Wilson E. and Gloria Laird Jacobs, Maryann is preceded in death by brother, Wilson "Butch" Jacobs, Jr. who passed in 2014. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Karl C. Kloepfer, Sr.; her three children, Amy (Aaron) Coury, Karl (Marlaina) Kloepfer Jr., and Katharine (John) Rockhold; her three grandchildren, Ben, Emily and Aiden Coury. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd, 3-4 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
