Obituary of Thomas W. Adams
Thomas W. Adams Sr., 89 of Linwood, PA died peacefully on July 29, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Blackwell, OK and raised in Clifton Heights, PA, he resided for the past 60 years in Linwood, PA. Thomas was a machinist for Westinghouse for 21 years retiring in 1984. A member of Resurrection Episcopal Church, he enjoyed going to the casino's, Friday night card games with his family, woodworking and was devoted to his faith and reading the bible. Thomas served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and Merchant Marines during WWII in the S. Pacific. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tillman B. and Jewel M. Brown Adams and a brother, Fred Baker. Thomas is survived by his wife of 68 years, Billie Jean Medley Adams, 7 children, Thomas "Bill" Adams Jr., Gale (Bob) Spencer, Debra (Wayne) Mozingo, Bruce (Sharon) Adams, Robin (Mark) Bireley, Randall (Dottie) Adams and Michael Adams, 2 brothers, Robert and Clyde Cowart, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Relative and friends are invited to his memorial service on Wednesday, 11:00AM at Resurrection Episcopal Church, 2131 Mount Road, Aston, PA 19014 where friends may call from 10-11AM. Interment is private. Donations in his memory may be made to the above named church or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis TN 38105.
