To Sylvia’s family I send my deepest condolences. I have known Sylvia since Elam Preschool days for her grandchildren. Since that time I came to know her better at St.Cornelius when she would come to the 11:00 Mass where until the pandemic I had been singing. She was a spirited, thoughtful and full of life woman and I feel privileged to have been a friend. She always called me “doll” her favorite greeting. I did not know of her death until I heard today at Mass. I would have been there. God bless her and all of you. Pam Foltz

I have decades of fond memories of Sylvia (my second mom). She was an amazing, funny, full spirited woman!! I loved her to the moon! There was never a dull moment at the Meloni household on David Drive!! She has left a great legacy with her children and grand children. what an amazing family she and Dad (Art) raised and all should be extremely proud. I love you all and pray for everyone's healing. A short while ago I received the very sad news my beautiful friend has gone home to be with the Lord..To me she was beautiful in every way, I would often tell her “when I grow up Sylvia I want to look just like you”...Hello Dol was her usual greeting, I can still hear it in my mind..I was able to speak with her at Doug and Maries’ home a few weeks ago and she seemed good on that day..My only regret is I did not know until now otherwise we Hwould have been there for her mass on Friday..She loved my husband John and we loved her and will always Romberg our beautiful friend Sylvia..

Kathryn We have surely lost a one of a kind lady. Your Mom was the best. So many years of knowing her and sharing. Always looked forward to being with her at our Thornton Girls lunch get togethers. I think all of your friends where at your house for piano lessons She will surely be missed. She served the Lord in so many ways in all the volunteer work she did and helping you out in your practice. Sylvia may you rest peacefully with our most precious Lord. Mom so much enjoyed being your next door neighbor at Fox Hill. The both of you hit it off the first day you met. My deepest sympathy to Sylvia’s family. Please let all your happy memories sustain you during this sad and difficult time. Sylvia was my chair yoga buddy! We enjoyed so many laughs and happy times! Sylvia knew she could always count on me to help her with anything. Especially going out to lunch. I miss my friend! Sylvia was always smiling and cheerful. She will always be remembered for her beauty. She was beautiful inside and out! I need to get her signature blue streak in my hair.

I met Sylvia at Chair Yoga and became friends almost instantly, I think making friends came so naturally to her. Sylvia made you feel like you were a longtime member of the family. Her exuberance for life was contagious and she helped me get through some very difficult times battling cancer. I got to see a dog wedding and enjoy a few lunches with her during our short friendship. Even with such a restrictive diet, She never stopped loving life and going out to eat. She will be fondly remembered and missed dearly.

My sincere prayers and condolences to Sylvia’s family. I have never had such a wonderful lady as my next door neighbor.Her love for her church and cooking could not be stronger.I truly missed her when I went into the nursing home. May she RIP although I bet she is up there in heaven cooking up a storm. RIP Sylvia RIP loved you dearly.
