Obituary of Helen P. Ambrogi
Helen Patricia (Siana) Ambrogi, 86, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on January 13th, 2021. A resident of Glen Mills for over 50 years, she previously resided in Drexel Hill, PA. Known by her loved ones as Pat, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and was our true guardian Angel. Helen celebrated our joys, listened to our worries, and taught us many life lessons.
Helen graduated from Immaculata University in 1956 and continued her education at West Chester University. She went on to become a dedicated and passionate teacher, who devoted over 30 years teaching at Chester High School, and touched the lives of many students over the years. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time teaching her grandchildren and volunteering at the Brandywine River Museum making "Critter" ornaments to help fund the Art Education program. Helen was an avid reader who enjoyed crossword puzzles, game shows and always had a new joke to share. She had a special passion towards animals, especially cats, and was a proud supporter of the local SPCA and Forgotten Cats.
Helen was born on May 30th, 1934 to Helen (Allmond) Siana and Louis Siana. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, are her husband, John G. Ambrogi, son, Jerry Ambrogi and brother, Louis J. Siana. She was a devoted mother to her son, Jerry (Kristy) and daughter Elena (Thomas) Murphy and a loving grandmother to her adoring grandchildren, Jessica, Michael and Christopher (Victoria) Ambrogi and Thomas (Haley) and Patrick (Angela) Murphy, along with her four great grandchildren, J.J. Ambrogi and Madison, Remy and Taylor Murphy.
Helen's sense of humor, her gift to always listen and her gentle soul will be deeply missed by everyone.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA or Forgotten Cats.
