Obituary of Willard E. Kingsley
Willard E. Kingsley, age 90, a resident since 2006 of Maris Grove retirement community, died on 01/13/2021. Born in Franklin, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Guy and Mary Kingsley and the brother of the late Wayne Kingsley. He is survived by Faith (nee Shuster) his wife of 68 years, a son Guy of St. Louis, Missouri, a grandson Jeffrey and his wife, Stacy; and two great grandsons, Elliot and Hayes of Arlington Heights, Illinois and many relatives. He was a graduate of Grove City College and the University of Cincinnati. He had served in the National Guard and later in the Air Force retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel. He resided with Faith while in the service in Ohio, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, California and Tokyo, Japan where he provided oversight of bioenvironmental health activities in Japan, Korea and Okinawa. In Japan he bonded with his young son by together scaling Mount Fuji. Following military service he was employed many years in various industrial health capacities. He and Faith traveled to Moscow with a group of professional associates to meet with Soviet counterparts in Moscow and five republics, now countries, to exchange bioenvironmental health information. He and Faith also enjoyed many trips in the United State and Europe. He was a member of the Maris Grove Veterans Club and a life member of the Military Officers Association of America.
