Obituary of Anna E. Bytheway

Anna E. Bytheway, age 82 of Glen Mills, PA passed away on January 24, 2021, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Anna resided for the past 47 years in Glen Mills, PA. A homemaker, Anna was devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed ceramic painting and visiting the Jersey Shore, but most of all, she enjoyed her home, family and spending time with her grandchildren.  Anna also relished the opportunity to care for the children of other families in the area who all came to know her simply as "Gram". 
In addition to her parents, Herbert and Anna McDonnell Maurer, Anna is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Bytheway, 4 siblings, Frances Angeletta, Agnes Sloss, Charles Maurer and Robert Maurer.  Anna is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Fred W. Bytheway, 5 children, Fred H. Bytheway, Michael (Lorraine) Bytheway, Lori (Dan) Ferreri, Diane (Bo Erickson) Bytheway and David Bytheway, brother, Herbert Porky Maurer, 6 grandchildren, Stacey (Steve) Troy, Michael H. Bytheway, Charles (Alexis) Bytheway, Ashley Bytheway, Jessica Ferreri and Danny Ferreri, 3 great grandchildren, Mason, Addie and Nora Troy. A visitation will be held on Friday, 2:00-3:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 3:00PM. Interment will remain private.
