Obituary of Roy E. Oster

Roy E. Oster, age 89 of Aston, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at home. Born to Simon and Olive Martel Oster in Lansdowne, PA, Roy resided for the past 10 years in Aston, previously residing in Broomall. He attended the University of Maryland and in his younger years, he qualified for the Olympics as a professional gun shooter. He was the owner and operator of Llanarch Gun Shop in Havertown, PA for over 46 years. Roy enjoyed music and singing as well as song writing. He was a member of the Optimist Club where he had served as President at one time. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Angelo "Tony" DiScala. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Geraldine "Gerry" Oster. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24th, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM.
