Obituary of George J. Essaf Sr.

George J. Essaf, Sr., age 73, of Aston, PA, passed away on February 23, 2021 at home. Born to George and Florence Beam Essaf in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Aston; George resided in Aston for the past 57 years, previously residing in Chester, PA. He was a 1965 graduate of Sun Valley High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Vietnam. George enjoyed woodworking, playing chess, traveling and loved fishing with his son.  George was a bricklayer for over 50 years retiring in 2010.  He worked for John B. Kelly, Inc., as well as other construction companies in the area. In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his two brothers, David and Steve Essaf. George is survived by his wife of 41 years, June Sauter Essaf; his son, George J. Essaf, Jr.; his grandson, Eli Essaf; his siblings, Gary Essaf, Donna Cimabue, Barbara Apple, and Linda Essaf. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2nd, from 10-11 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
