Obituary of Florence M. Szatkowski

Florence M. Szatkowski, age 73 of Upper Chichester, PA died on August 18, 2016 at home. Born in Chester, PA, Florence graduated from Chester High in1961. She has resided in Upper Chichester for the past 40 years. After high school, Florence toured with the Manhattan Rockettes before her marriage to John. She worked in Customer Service at Sears retiring in the year 2000. Florence is devoted to her faith and a member of St. Joseph Church in Aston. She enjoyed her social clubs with her girlfriends, however most of all, she cherished the time with her family and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; Joseph Materese and Genevieve Materese Testa, and a sister, Amelia "Dee" Kane. Florence is survived by her husband of 52 years, John H. Szatkowski, 2 children, Joseph Szatkowski and Daria (Robert) Mariotti and 3 grandchildren, Genevieve, Sarah & Daria Rose Mariotti. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, 8:30-9:45AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA. Interment S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
