Obituary of Vincenzo Adinolfi

Vincenzo Adinolfi, 89 of Wilmington, DE died peacefully on August 22, 2016 surrounded by his family at Compassionate Care Hospice at the St. Francis Hospital. Born, raised and educated in Battipaglia, Italy before immigrating to the U.S. in 1959. He resided for the past 9 years in Wilmington, DE, previously residing 18 years in Havertown, PA and many years in S.W. Philadelphia. Vincenzo was a tailor for the Botony 500 for 31 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Child and former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Havertown, and St. Anthony Di Padova Society of S.W. Philadelphia. Vincenzo also enjoyed gardening, making homemade wine and sitting in his back yard listening to Italian music. He is preceded in death by his parents, Giovanni and Maria Anna Galietti Adinolfi, 3 siblings, Pasquale and Antonio Adinolfi and Cosimina Noschese. Vincenzo is survived by his wife of 60 years, Italia Infante Adinolfi, sons, Giovanni Adinolfi and his wife Loretta and Francesco Adinolfi and his wife Lynn, sisters, Anna Del Verme and Teresa Bove both in Italy, 6 grandchildren, Anna and husband Kevin, Sofia, Vincenzo, Marisa and Nicholas. Relative and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, 11:30AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE, where friends may call from 10:15-11:15AM.
