Obituary of Karen Lynn Fawcett

Karen Lynn Fawcett, age 69 of Dover, DE, passed away at Seasons Hospice at ChristianaCare on May 19, 2021. Born to Samuel and Ethel Heitz Peterson in Upland, PA, Karen previously resided in North Carolina, Chestertown, MD, and, for the last four years, Dover, DE. She worked as a housekeeper for Washington College in Chestertown, MD before retiring after 17 years. In her leisure time, Karen enjoyed visiting the casino and playing the lottery. She loved owls and tending to her houseplants, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Maitland. She is survived by her sons, James (Jennifer) Maitland, Michael (Jennifer) Maitland, and Kevin (Linda) Maitland, as well as her 7 grandchildren.
