Obituary of Dorothy M. Gray

Dorothy "Dot" M. Gray, age 96 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on June 11, 2021 at home. Born to Samuel and Martha Bennett Elliott in Marcus Hook, PA, Dot resided in Wilmington, DE since 1966, and previously resided in Wallingford, PA. She worked as a Licenced Practical Nurse at Riddle Hospital and several doctor's offices, as well as a private duty nurse. Devoted to her faith, Dot was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and needlework, as well as reading, cooking, and most of all, caring for her family. Dot loved to entertain and was a great hostess. In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Stoddard Perry Gray II, her brother, Jack E. Elliott, and her grandson, Jason Lynwood Gray. She is survived by her son, Robert Stoddard (Lenda) Gray, her daughter, Jean Elizabeth (Jim) Bryant, sister-in-law, Pat Elliott, 8 grandchildren; Robert Stoddard "Robbie" Gray II, Stoddard Perry (Cori) Gray III, Adam McDiarmid (Kathleen) Gray, Nathan McLendon Gray, Andrew John (Rachael) Morganstern, Peter Cory (Abigail) Morganstern, Katherine Michelle (Tim) Corum, and Joseph Allen Jorett, 11 great grandchildren; Ethan Daniel Gray, Grace Marie Gray, Anneken Elise Morganstern, Laura Elizabeth "Beth" Morganstern, Andrew Christian Morganstern, Gabriel Morganstern, Hans Morganstern, Jena Elizabeth Jones, Aydan Cole Weaver, Addyson McKenna Weaver, and Dixie Mae Weaver.  Dot's final days were given an enhanced quality of life and made much more comfortable by the loving care given by Rob Shivers as her caregiver.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22nd from 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 Ridge Rd. Linwood, PA.
