Obituary of Ronald M. Contrady

Ronald M. Contrady, age 69 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on June 27, 2021. Born to Michael and Elizabeth Timko Contrady, he resided in Upper Chichester, PA for over 50 years. Ron was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1969. A member of the Local (OCAW) Oil, Chemical & Atomic Workers Union, he was employed for many years in the Oil Refinery Industry. Ron belonged to St. John Fisher Church. He was known as a Phillies fan and an avid Steelers fan. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains. He enjoyed taking trips and his favorite trip was to Alaska. Ron had a love of family and spending time with his grandchildren, especially going to their baseball games. He is survived by his wife, Robin Syfrit Contrady, 2 sons; Michael (Danielle) Contrady and Ronald P. (Megan) Contrady, 3 grandchildren, Gavin Clark-Contrady and RJ & Hanna Contrady, 2 sisters, Janet Pajan and Judith Fleetwood as well as numerous extended family including, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6, from 9:30-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11AM.
