Obituary of Jeanne I. Barry

Jeanne I. Barry, 89, of Chadds Ford, PA passed away peacefully on August 28, 2016. Born in Phila. PA, she graduated from J.W. Hallahan Catholic Girls H.S. Jeanne owned and operated "The Priscilla Card & Gift Shoppe" in the Fishtown neighborhood of Phila. She continued her retail career throughout her life. "AJ" was devoted to her many nieces and nephews spread across the US, and her Catholic faith. She was an active member at St. Cornelius Parish of Chadds Ford, PA. Jeanne was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Mary (Manion) Barry, her siblings; Mary Hughston, Gerald Barry, Vera McKeever, Thomas Barry, and Anne Haines. She is survived by her brother Joseph Barry, and her numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to visitation Friday September 9, 2016 from 9-10 AM followed by mass to celebrate her life at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Cornelius Parish (address above) in Jeanne's memory.
