I have a great respect for Auntie Yan. Her beautiful calligraphy introduced many people to the traditional Chinese culture sharing hope and inspiration. We honor Auntie Yan’s life by remembering all the wonderful things she did and all the kindness she shared with others.

Auntie Yan had a heart of gold. She was very kind and gentle, always willing to help others when help was needed. She set herself very high standards despite physical challenges. I don't know when she learned English but she was fluent in communicating in English both verbally and in written form. She shared the message of "Truth, Compassion and Tolerance are good" to countless people with her beautiful calligraphy. I know we will miss Auntie Yan at the arts and crafts table during future 4th of July events but her spirit will be with us when we continue to share the beautiful message to people.

I know Auntie Yan for many years. She was kind, diligent and intelligent. She was always willing to help others. She was a person of principle and integrity, and worked tirelessly to help others to learn the truth. Her attainment in horticulture and calligraphy was top rated. She whole heartedly promoted the traditional Chinese culture, and earned the respect from westerners and Asians as well. When I looked at her picture on this website, vividly I feel like she is still with us. She has returned to the ultimate realm that she belongs to, which I am sure is a great and glorious place.

Auntie Yan was a wonderful woman, and I am sure she is in a bright, great realm now. She has helped so many people over the years. Despite any difficult circumstances, she was upbeat and cheerful. I admired her perseverance. -Phil Randell

In my memory, Auntie Yan was always smiling and cheerful. She worked tirelessly to help others to learn the truth despite her difficulties. I will miss her very much. Rest in Peace, Auntie Yan.
