I recently heard about Bob's passing. Bob was my guitar teacher for about two years at Bucks County Folk Music Shop in early 90's. I wanted to advance in my blugrass flatpicking skills and Bob was a huge help and encouragement. He would write out a new song each week in my music book - his own take on classic bluegrass songs. I would practice that song and at the next lesson we would jam on that song and then he would write another one. I still have that book and play through it once in a while. I always wanted to see him play classical guitar and one day he told me he would be playing at a coffee house in Skippack. My girlfriend and I went to see him. We had a great time. During his playing a loud noise was coming from the frothing machine at the counter. He looked over at me and smiled. He was a pleasant man. I have very fond memories of Bob. He enriched my life.

I was one of Bob's on-line guitar students. He was a good teacher--patient and supportive--but, more importantly, he seemed like a nice man.
