Obituary of Collin Michael McLaughlin
Collin M. McLaughlin, age 21 of Wilmington, DE passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 12, 2021 at his home. Born to Paul and Charlene Rich McLaughlin, Collin had lived his whole life in Wilmington and was a 2019 graduate of Concord High School. He was completing his third year (apprentice level) in the electrical technologies program at New Castle County Vo Tech. Collin enjoyed sports especially running, surfing, fishing and soccer where he was selected twice for the Ocean City Nor'easters. He loved his friends (or in his words "my brothers") and was known as a helper to those in need. Whether a stranger or a friend, Collin was there to make you smile or lend a listening ear. Anyone who knew Collin was touched by his contagious smile, selflessness and his peacemaker attitude. In addition to his parents, Collin is survived by his sister, Courtney Rich, his brother, Shane McLaughlin, his maternal grandparents, Frank and Charlotte Rich, his paternal grandparents, Michael and Rita McLaughlin; as well as his aunts, uncles and cousins as listed; Colleen, Michael, Derrick, Alyssa, and Conner Mahan; Frank, Karen, Frank III, and Leah Rich; Michael, Tracey, Evan and Ben McLaughlin; Bridget and Patrick Ward. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a memorial service at 3 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to honor Collin at: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - AFSP Delaware.
