Obituary of Francis A. Ferrara
Francis A. "Frank" Ferrara, age 88 of Media, PA passed away on November 22, 2021 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born to Giovanni B. and Anna Iannucci Ferrara in Chester, PA, he resided in Upper Providence, PA for 38 years. Frank graduated from St. James School for Boys in 1951 where he was the captain of the football team, and later played football for the Army during the Korean Conflict. He earned an athletic scholarship, playing Division I football, while obtaining an undergraduate degree from Villanova University. He later earned his law degree from Villanova Law School in 1963. Frank was a partner and leader in several preeminent Delaware County law firms, and ultimately retired from the firm of Ferrara Belefonte McFadden & Ferrara. Frank was a trial lawyer who concentrated on complex litigation and took personal satisfaction in confronting challenging cases, being an innovative advocate, developing novel legal theories, and generously mentoring generations of lawyers. He was constantly inspired by the power of the law and was a member of several professional organizations. Frank was a member of Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed reading and traveling, especially to Italy. He was an avid sports fan and a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan. In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by 2 siblings; Frances Curran and Joseph Ferrara. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda J. Ferrara (nee Crozier), 3 children; Janis (Frank) Pulcini, Michael (Thanh) Ferrara, and Robert (Dana Augustine) Ferrara, his sister in law, Lorraine Ferrara, and 3 grandchildren; Kristina, Michael, and Robert. A visitation will be held on December 20, 2021 from 10-11AM at Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church, 256 Bethel Rd, Glen Mills, PA followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11AM.
