Obituary of Eilleen M. Gillinger

Eilleen M. Gillinger, age 78 of Thornton, PA passed away peacefully on December 17, 2021 at Sunrise at Westtown.  Born in Fern Brook, PA, Eilleen resided for the past 37 years in Thornton, PA, previously residing in Woodlyn, PA for 24 years. Eilleen was the owner and operator of the Post Road Luncheonette for over 25 years. After retirement, Eilleen enjoyed spending time helping at her son's business, Wolfe's Baldwin Brass Center, for many years.  She enjoyed baking, gardening, and taking care of her home. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Eugene Jr. and Nellie (Jenkins) Banta, Eilleen is preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Gillinger Sr. who passed away in 2018 and 3 siblings; George, Joan and Lucille. She is survived by 2 sons, Robert Gillinger Jr. and his wife Ann Marie and Johnny Gillinger Sr. and his wife Andrea, 7 siblings, Maureen, Margaret, Richard, Madeline, Jack, Dennis and Kathy, and 5 grandchildren, Johnny Jr. and his wife, Ashley, Robert III, Michael, Olivia and Daniel Gillinger. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, 9:00-10:00AM  at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.
