Obituary of Arnold J. Porter, Jr.

Arnold J. Porter, Jr., age 83, of Earleville, MD passed away on April 17, 2022 at Calvert Manor Rehabilitation Center, Rising Sun, MD.  Born in Upland, PA to Ida Edwards and Arnold J. Porter, Sr., he resided in Linwood, PA for over 30 years before moving to Earleville in 1996.  Arnold served his country in the US Airforce from 1955 to 1959 and served in the foreign theater of Japan, specifically Okinawa.  He worked as a radiograph operator for Citisteel, formerly Phoenix Steel, in Claymont, DE for 21 years.  He loved cooking, hunting, fishing and boating. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Crossan Porter, brothers; William, Robert, and Harry Porter, his sisters; Alice Sacca and Margaret Marusco. Arnold is survived by his children; Michael (Barbara) Porter, Gary Porter, Thomas (Beverly) Porter, and Michelle (Randy) Kunkle, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and brothers; Richard and James Porter.  Services and interment will be private.  Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.
