Obituary of Raymond D. Cavanaugh

Raymond Donald Cavanaugh "Ray", age 84 of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Born to John A. Cavanaugh and Anna E. Simon Cavanaugh in Philadelphia, PA; he resided in Glen Mills for the past (9) years, and previously resided in Aston, PA for (48) years. Over a long and successful career, he was a Plant Manager for USI Industries, a Maintenance Supervisor for AMETEK, and he finished his career as a Bus Driver for Garnet Valley School District.  Ray mostly loved to spend time with his family/friends, but also enjoyed cooking, music, and was an avid sports fan; especially the Dallas Cowboys. Ray was the true patriarch of the Cavanaugh family, and enjoyed creating and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his brother John  Cavanaugh, sister Dorothy Lewis, and daughter Linda Cavanaugh. He is survived by his loving wife Lidie M. Cavanaugh of (64) years, his son, Raymond J. (Mary) Cavanaugh, daughter, Barbara Ann (Jim) Read, son-in-law, Jack (Jody) Hammond, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 9 - 10 AM followed by a celebration of his life at 10 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA . Interment Private.
