Obituary of Janet Marie Lyons

Janet Marie Lyons, age 91, of Trainer, PA passed away on July 10, 2022 in Wilmington, DE. Born to Arthur and Freda (Volrath) Stevens in 1930, amid the Great Depression she overcame a challenging childhood and went on to earn a degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Chester Hospital and became a member of their alumni association when she happily set aside her career to raise her family. Janet attended Trainer United Methodist Church and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Ogden, PA. Janet was a former Girl Scout leader, an avid bowler and Phillies fan. She enjoyed pressing her luck playing cards, Bingo and going to the casinos. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Lyons and a brother, Thomas Stevens. Janet is survived by three daughters; Debbie (Mike) Pubusky, Pam (Dan) Nagle, and Kim (Gary) DiIorio, three grandchildren; Abby Pubusky (Thomas Taylor), Ben Pubusky (Christopher Brito), and Connor Nagle, three great grandchildren; Reagan, Charlotte, and Henry Taylor, and sister, Romayne Hayes. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, from 10 - 11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11AM.
