Obituary of Karen M. Baney

Karen M. Baney, age 70 of Aston, PA passed away on July 27, 2022 at Belvedere Nursing Home. Born in Chester, PA and raised in Upland, PA, Karen resided for the past 15 years in Aston, previously residing in Marcus Hook where she raised her family. A homemaker, Karen graduated from Ridley High School Class of 1969 where she was a member of the Colorguard. She was a member of the Neumann Choral Adult Ensemble. In her earlier years she assisted with her children's plays in school. She enjoyed driving and appreciating nature but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, William W. and Beatrice Molineaux York, Karen is preceded in death by 2 siblings, William York and Elaine Ardes. She is survived by 4 children; Thomas Jr. (Karen) Baney, Lisa (Dan) Hughes, Jennifer Sweeny, and Danielle (Sean Silvestri) Baney, husband, Tom R. Baney Sr., 2 sisters, Denise (Ronald) Platt and Irene York, 10 grandchildren,;Alexis, Gabrielle (Zachary), Thomas III, Nicholas, Ariana, Liam, Allie, Natalie, McKenna and Bella-Rose, and a great granddaughter, Kensley. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a memorial service at 11AM. Interment is private.
