Obituary of Barbara Ann Drozdowski

Barbara Ann Drozdowski, age 63 of Avondale, PA passed away on July 28, 2022 at Chester County Hospital. Born to Stephen and Katherine Grassle Piekarski in Newark, NJ. She grew up in Iselin NJ, and attended St. Cecelia’s Elementary School and John F. Kennedy High School. She resided for the past 24 years in Avondale, PA. 

Barbara was an X-Ray technician for Nemours Children's Hospital for 16 years. She loved working with children and dedicated herself to their care. Prior to her career as a health care worker, she was a stay-at-home mom who raised her three daughters and also worked a part time job at the Skibum Ski Shop in Glen Mills, PA. Barbara loved skiing, hiking, biking and kayaking, and was an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed the beach and the mountains of Vermont where her family owns a second home. She loved to travel and took frequent trips to Arizona and Colorado where two of her daughters reside.

As a dedicated mother, wife and sister, her real passion was to spend time with her loving family and especially her three daughters. As anyone who knew her will tell, her love for her family was paramount in her life. She was a devoted, loving, kind and adoring mom whose love for her children defined her as a person. She truly believed that no greater love can be found than the presence of family.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Drozdowski, of 37 years, her daughters, Katie (Sean Barbour) Drozdowski, Christine (Joe) Raden, Stephanie Drozdowski and her boyfriend Ryan Stanford. She is also survived by her eldest brother Stephen (Christine) Piekarski, Eddie (Mary) Piekarski, John (Anna) Piekarski, and would want a special mention of her beloved dog, Pennie Lane, who she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 FoulkRd., Garnet Valley, PA. 
 

There will also be a visitation held on Friday, August 5 at 9AM at Costello Funeral Home, 200 Cooper ave, Iselin, NJ 08830

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022  at 11AM at St. Cecilia Iselin, 45 Wilus Way, Iselin, NJ 08830

Internment will be held following Mass on Friday, August 5, 2022 at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ 07067
