Obituary of Elaine Joyce Sworob

Elaine Joyce Sworob, age 92, of Lester, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 3, 2022 at home. Born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, PA, Elaine resided for the past 39 years in Lester, previously residing in Colwyn, PA. She worked as a candy decorator for 20 years at Lerro's Candy Company before retiring. She was a member of the Colwyn Baptist Church and a life member of the Eastern Star Fraternal Chapter 249. She enjoyed going to the shore and visiting the casinos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, James and Anna Grum Gould, Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, John Sworob who passed in 2006, a baby grandson, Michael Saunders, Jr. who passed in 1985, and 8 siblings. She is survived by 2 children, Paul J. (Nancy) Sworob and Dawn M. (David) Saunders-Payne, 3 grandchildren; Melissa (Jason), Adam, and Nicholas, and 2 great grandchildren, McKayla and Tyler, along with many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, from 6-8 PM and Wednesday, August 10, from 10-11AM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by an Order of the Eastern Star service at 10:45AM then the funeral service at 11AM.
