Obituary of James R. Ostan Sr.

James R. Ostan Sr., age 71, of Boothwyn, PA passed away on October 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Born to James E. and Dolores Matthews Ostan in Chester, PA, he resided the past 4 years in Boothwyn, PA, previously residing in Daytona Beach, FL and Chester, PA. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a shipfitter and mechanic for Sun Ship, Penn Ship, and the Philadelphia Naval Yard. Jim loved cars. He enjoyed working on cars and collecting model cars. Jim also enjoyed collecting coins and maintaining his fish tanks. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Stephen R. Ostan and David E. Ostan. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Ostan, sons; James Jr. (Lindsay), Mark (Christina Carlin), Scott, and Russell (Katie McKeown) Ostan, sisters; Deborah Phillips and Diana Lynn Kelly, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Interment to remain private.
