Obituary of Theresa F. Barker

Theresa F. Barker, age 59 of Garnet Valley, PA died peacefully on November 13, 2016 at home. Born to the late Francis & Mary McKinny McNichol in Phila, PA, she was raised in Ridley Park, PA. Theresa has resided for 18 years in Garnet Valley previously residing in Wallingford, PA. She graduated from Cardinal O'Hara H.S. class of 1975. Theresa was an administrative assistant at Visual Communications in Aston, PA. She belonged to St. John Fisher Catholic Church and was active with the Garnet Valley High School Drama Club where her children attended. Theresa was also an active volunteer with BYC. She was a devoted wife, mother & sister. Theresa is survived by her husband of 28 years, Lawrence A. Barker, 2 children, Christopher & Maura Barker, a brother Francis (Teresa) McNichol, Jr., 4 sisters, Catherine (Francis) McBride, Patricia McNichol, Maureen (James) Duttera & Eileen (Thomas) VanderVliet as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, 1:00PM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA where friends may call from 12:00-1:00PM. Interment will remain private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa's memory may be made to the University of Penn, Abramson Center, Development Office, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Phila, PA 19104.
