Obituary of Florence M. Doss-Mitchell

Florence "Flo" M. Doss-Mitchell, age 78 of Chester, PA, passed away on January 19, 2023 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland PA. Born in Hopkinsville, KY, a daughter of Roy Lee and Lorene Bibbs Doss; she has resided in Chester, PA for over the past 50 years. Flo was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and visiting the casinos. Flo was a Nurses Assistant in the home healthcare field for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Mitchell, and two sisters; Anna L. Coates and Bernice Johnson. Flo is survived by her two daughters; Tina (Ricardo) Santiago and Sarah (Patrick) Capaldi; eight grandchildren, Denise, Delbert, Danielle, Dejanua, Dominique, Dmitri, Kristyl and Kohlene; thirty-four great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, three brothers; Robert (Lorraine) Doss, Allen (Lucielle) Doss, and Joseph Scheeder, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitiation will be held on Thursday, February 9, from 2-3PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral service at 3PM. Interment will remain private.
