Obituary of Harry D. Habbart Jr.

Harry D. "Mike" Habbart Jr., age 85 of Glen Mills, PA passed away on June 13, 2023 at home. Born in Okmulgee, OK, and raised in Chester and Woodlyn, PA, Mike resided in Concord Twp for over 50 years. He graduated from Ridley High School, Class of 1955 then earned his bachelor's degree in Math from Franklin and Marshall University. He then went on to achieve his Master's degree in Education from Wilmington College. He was a math teacher for the Brandywine School District where he worked at Concord High School for 30+ years before retiring in 1995. Mike was dedicated to his teaching career and was a member of the Teachers Association. He enjoyed reading books and watching the Hallmark channel in his spare time. Most of all, he was a caring husband, wonderful father, and the very best Pop-Pop, who was very devoted to his family. In addition to his parents, Harry D. Sr. and Irene G. Holdren Habbart, Mike is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Margaret "Peggy" Habbart, who passed away in 2019, and a brother, Alfred Habbart. He is survived by 3 sons, Danny Habbart, Timmy Habbart, and Gary (Nicole) Habbart, half-brother, Dean Salisbury, and grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Alex Habbart, and Cara (Greg) Witmer.
