Obituary of Mary Ellen Gallagher

Mary Ellen Gallagher, age 97 of Media, PA passed away on July 6, 2023 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Metz, West Virginia, Mary Ellen resided in the Granite Farms community for the past 2 years, previously residing in Broomall, PA. Mary Ellen was a homemaker most of her life and in her earlier years she worked for the Lester Piano Co. She enjoyed needlework, working on puzzles, painting, gardening, and oing on bus trips with her friends to Atlantic City. In addition to her parents, Marshall and Marie Baker Hamilton, Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Xavier Gallagher who passed away in 1988 and 3 siblings, Eileen Hostutler, Wayman Hamilton and Nelta Holtsizer. She is survived by her niece, Pamela Learn and great nieces and nephews, Ronnie Hostutler, Anne Hostutler, Karen Kerr, Stephanie Hostutler, AJ Kerr and Riley Hostutler. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, 9-10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. Interment will be held privately.
