Obituary of Ellen M. Hemighaus

Ellen M. Hemighaus, age 66 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on July 11, 2023 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Havertown, PA, Ellen resided for the past 27 years in Upper Chichester, PA, previously residing in Boothwyn, PA. In the last few years Ellen worked as a care aide and most recently for Comfort Keepers in West Chester until her illness in January. In the 1990's Ellen worked in the office for Meenan Oil in Upper Darby, PA. Ellen graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School, Class of 1976. She enjoyed crocheting, working on puzzles, and gardening. She loved to travel to the west coast, visiting Reno, Nevada and California as well as traveling to Florida. Ellen greatest joy was taking care of her home and family. In addition to her parents, Russell and Maria Fellini Gimellaro, Ellen is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Hemighaus, who passed in 2006. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph S. Hemighaus, son, Mark Hemighaus, and many aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, 11:30AM-12:30PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 12:30PM.
