Obituary of Gerald Jay Herbus Sr. (Jerry)

Gerald Jay Herbus, Sr  (Jerry) age 75 of Aston, PA passed away suddenly on July 22, 2023 at Riddle Hospital. He was born and raised in Chester, PA by his parents, Frank J. and Isabella (Horne) Herbus. Jerry resided in Aston for 54 years, previously residing in Highland Gardens section of Chester. He was a printer at Wyeth Pharmaceutical for 37 years before retiring in 2012. Jerry enjoyed all family activities, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies’ games. He loved going to the beach and also go out on his son’s boat and go fishing . He was a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church in Aston for many years. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy, and his sister Katrina. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Herbus, 4 children; Darlene (David) Hunter, Gerald Jay (Lori) Herbus, Jr., Lisa (Ed) Jones, and Rob (Crystal) Herbus, brother, Stanley (Robin) Herbus, 6 grandchildren, Justin, and Jacob, Amanda, and Jon, Ryan, and Alexa, and his great-grandchild, Eli. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 28th from 10:30-11:30AM at the Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11:30AM.
