Obituary of James N. Greenshields

James (Jim) N. Greenshields, age 87, of Hockessin, DE died peacefully on August 4, 2023 at Maris Grove, Glenn Mills. He was born in Northamptonshire, England, and raised in Manchester, England by his parents, James and Susan Greenshields. Jim worked as a research chemist for over 40 years, which was his true passion. He was talented and artistic with a great love of poetry, notably the works of Robert Burns. In his youth he was an avid cyclist, and later in life enjoyed woodworking, and building anything in the back yard! Jim had a great sense of humor and a vast repertoire of terrible jokes at the ready! He is survived by his wife, Arlene Greenshields; 2 children, Andrew (Lindsay) Greenshields and Fiona (Alan) Hill; sister, Jan; and 3 grandchildren; Emma, Charlie, and Cate.
