Obituary of Constance Marie O'Neill

On August 13, 2023, Connie Sallusto O'Neill, a beloved mother and friend, passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 89. Connie was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Media High School in 1952. She married Eugene O'Neill and resided in Aston, PA, and then retired to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for the last 30 years.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mildred Sallusto, and her husband, Eugene O'Neill after 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her sister, Josie Harper of White River Junction, Vermont, and her 3 children: Karen (Larry) Fischer of Oxford, PA, Thomas (Josie) O'Neill of New London, PA, and Christine (David) Record of Chattanooga, TN. Connie was blessed with 5 grandchildren: TJ (Ashleigh), Doug (Emily), Jesse, Gene Marie, and Stephen (Maddy), and 6 great-grandchildren: James, Thomas, Beau, Max, Finley, and Raelynn Jane.

Connie was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Little League World Series held in Williamsport, PA, every year! She also enjoyed trips to the Women's College Final Four basketball tournaments with her sister, Josie. In her retirement years, she loved adventure trips with friends and family.

Anyone who ever met or interacted with Connie was taken back by her sweet and kind ways. Connie's favorite holiday was Christmas, and she always had gifts wrapped and under the tree for her family and loved ones. Everyone that knew Connie will remember her generous, loving and giving heart. Her favorite greeting to her family was, "Give Me Hugs!"

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, from 11:00-12:00PM followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA. Interment to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park located on Route 1 in Glen Mills, PA. Donations in Connie's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (stjude.org).
