Obituary of John J. Artese

John J. Artese age 94 of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away on August 23, 2023 at his home. He was born and raised in Philadelphia by his parents, John and Emily Spoerl Artese. John resided in Altamonte Springs for the past 5 years, previously residing in Port Orange, FL. He was a longtime resident of Media PA. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. John worked as a driver for Haab Oil for many years as well as for his fathers business, John Artese and Sons Landscaping. John was a member of the Teamsters Union and the VFW in Aston. He loved golf, Philly sports, boating, fishing and dancing as well as karaoke. He also enoyed spending his summers in Ocean City, NJ. In his younger years, John enjoyed caddying for the Altlantic City Golf Club. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by 4 siblings; Al Artese, Marie Dove, Joan McCormick, and Joseph Artese. He is survived by 2 children; Beverly Kolea (James), and Perry Artese (Pam), 3 grandchildren; Peter John Artese (Amanda), Natalie Artese and Lauren Stanton (Scott), 3 great grandchildren Celina, Ava, and Vivian, and sister in law Jane Artese. A Graveside service for John will take place on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 9AM at Siloam United Methodist Church, Garnet Valley PA.
