Obituary of Florence A. Osborne

Florence A. Osborne, age 81, of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 29, 2023 at Shipley Living. She was born to William and Florence McCarrell Chambers in Ireland, moved to the United States in 1964 and has resided in the Wilmington area for over 50 years. Florence worked as a housekeeper at the Brandywine YMCA for over 30 years, retiring in 2016. Devoted to her faith, she was an active member at Upland Baptist Church. Florence enjoyed gardening and reading, but most of all, loved spending time with her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Osborne, who passed in 2020, as well as her siblings, Margaret Osborne; Billy, and Hugo, and first husband, Robert Crowe. Florence is survived by her stepdaughter, Terry Osborne, and brothers, Ernest and Robert Chambers. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, from 10:30 - 11:30AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA, which will be livestreamed, followed by a funeral service at 11:30AM. Interment at Greenhill Presbyterian Cemetery in Wilmington, DE. Donations in Florence's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
