Obituary of William Hugh Dutton

William Hugh Dutton, 84, of West Chester, PA, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at home surrounded by his family.

Hugh as everyone called him, was born April 24, 1939 in Upper Chichester. He grew up in the Twin Oaks section and recently lived in East Goshen township. He graduated from Upper Chichester High School and PMC. He worked in the lab at Avisun and in the accounting department of Sun Transport. Hugh worked with his sister and brother-in-law at their bed and breakfast "The Boulevard" in Wilmington, DE. He also worked part-time at Delaware County Supply where his two sons were also employed. He attended Memorial Presbyterian Church as a child, then Siloam United Methodist Church, and most recently attended The Power Place.

His passion was to spend time with God and his family. He loved to pray for everyone, right up until the end. He faithfully attended a prayer meeting at The Christian Academy for over thirty years. He poured God's love into everyone he met.

Hugh was the son of the late William Henry Dutton III and Eula Maxine Yeisley Dutton. He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla Irene Whitby Dutton, daughter, Diane Irene Dutton Moyer (Shane), sons; Craig Richard Dutton(Debbie), and William Howard Dutton, grandchildren, Ethan (Madisyn) Dutton, Madison Dutton Nazario (Samuel), Luke Dutton, Brody Dutton, Sadie Moyer, and Savannah Moyer, great grandson, Bennett Dutton, sister, Judith Dutton Powell, and her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, from 10-11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA.
