I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jim. He was not only a mentor, but a surrogate father. I was honored when he called me “son”. He always showed the utmost kindness to my wife and family. Our deepest condolences to Marie and the family. “Melman”

I’m so sorry to learn of the passing of Jim Atkinson, I offer my sincere condolences to Marie and the extended families. Jim was amazing security manager. I’ve had the privilege of working with him at the Penn Tower Hotel in the 1980’s. Through his example, I was able to sharpen my skills in security management. It has helped me advance my career in public safety. Jim was a great guy, he will be missed.
