Obituary of Richard E. Izykowski

Richard "Rich" E. Izykowski, age 80 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on November 28, 2023 in hospice care. Born, raised, and educated in the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia, Rich resided for the past 10 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Oxford for 8 years and was a long time resident of  Havertown, PA. Rich served his country in the Army reserves during the Vietnam War. He worked over 30 years as a train car engineer for the Budd Co. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, UAW (United Auto Workers), Delaware County Field and Stream, Target Master, and Ducks Unlimited. Rich was a self-taught wildlife artist. He enjoyed boating, traveling with his wife, and loved being Pop Pop to his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John and Helen Dolinski Izykowski, Rich is preceded in death by a sister, Jean Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara A. Keenan Izykowski, two sons, Stephen (Tracie) Izykowski and Joseph (Melissa) Izykowski, five grandchildren, Emilie, John, Katie Izykowski, Joe and Cecilia Izykowski. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 9:30-10:30AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM.
