Obituary of Thelma O. Wilson

Thelma O. Wilson ``Cookie", age 81 of Wilmington, DE passed away on December 8, 2023 at AccentCare Hospice, Newark, DE. Born and raised in Twin Oaks, PA, Cookie resided for the past 50 years in Wilmington, DE, previously residing in Claymont, DE. Cookie was a waitress and served food at Longhorn Ranch, Romels, and Lots a Pasta. Afterwards, Cookie worked for Acme for 10 years before retiring. She graduated from Chichester High School class of 1960. Cookie loved going to the beach and Casinos in NJ. She loved fresh Jersey tomatoes, and baking for her granddaughters. Thelma is preceded in death by her parents, George Gaster and Madeline Simpkiss Whelan. She is survived by her children; Sherry L. (Mark) Mealey, and Jeff Wilson, sister, Glenice Corley, granddaughters; Ashley Mealey, and Heather Mealey and close friend Rosemary. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., followed by Funeral Services at 11:00AM. Interment to follow at Mt.
