Obituary of Charles J. Kaszytski, Sr.

Charles J. Kaszytski Sr., age 89 of Wilmington, DE passed away on December 14, 2023, at his residence. Born to John and Helena Potochney Kaszytski in New York City, NY, growing up in Marion Heights, PA. Charles has resided for the past 54 years in Wilmington, DE. Charles served in the United States Army during peacetime and is a Marksman on the National Registry. He worked as a Specialized Contractor who owned and operated Mr. Small Jobs, he also worked for the Delaware State Parks for 25 years. Charles was a craftsman who worked on Historical Homes, he was proud to work on the restoration of the Brandywine Park Fountain. Mostly, Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Shaffchick Kaszytski, who passed away in May of this year, and his son-in-law, Russell Carlson. He is survived by his children; Barbara Chabala Hurley, Marianna Carlson, and Charles Kaszytski, Jr., sister, Tina (Paul) Bartholomew, grandchildren; Nick Kaszytski, Fallon Hurley, and John Hurley III, and great grandchildren, Liam Willis and Nolan Kaszytski. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 10AM-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM.
