Obituary of Nancy Yocum

Nancy Yocum, age 89, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on April 4, 2024 at Rose Court of Maris Grove. Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia to James and Anna Marie Boyce Crowley, Nancy was a longtime resident of Lansdowne, PA until moving to Glen Mills in 1998. She graduated from West Catholic School for Girls, Class of 1953. Nancy was very active in her community and was a member of various community groups including the Red Hat Society and the Aldan Women's Club. She was also involved in her church at St. Philomena and later at St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Most of all, she was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brothers, James and Thomas Crowley. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Francis Robert Yocum, six children, Debra (Stephen) Malaro, Francis R. (Claire) Yocum, Jr., Robert Yocum, James J. (Shawn) Yocum, Nancybeth (Stephen) Palis, and Kristine (Robert) Beighley, a brother, Edward Crowley, 21 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA. An additional visitation will take place on Monday, April 8 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA from 12:00 to 1:15pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30pm.
